Background:
I was born in El Paso, Texas and raised in Denver. I have one older brother and one older sister. My mom did a great job raising my siblings and me as a single parent. All my family is from Chihuahua, Mexico, but all my uncles and aunts live in Denver, except for one aunt who lives in New Mexico. I have three nieces whom I dearly love. I am really close to my immediate family. We hang out a lot and have much fun together.
As a child I liked to draw a lot and had dreams of becoming a comic book illustrator. I also liked playing sports like soccer, softball and basketball. Growing up I tried to involve myself with art-related activities or contests such as the 8th grade yearbook design contest, an anti-drug-and-alcohol acting program and the Arts Street program, where I created an artistic tile mural, as well as designed a Web site and taught a positive graffiti workshop. I also enjoy going to church and hanging out with all my friends there. They encourage and help me greatly. My Christian faith is what keeps me strong and hopeful, especially when the odds are against me. I am very grateful for what God has done in my life thus far. I am very blessed!

Why I’m excited about being part of “The Apprentice Challenge @ Metro State”:
The Apprentice Challenge is a great blessing! I am very grateful for this opportunity and very anxious to meet all the sponsors and businesses who have worked hard to make this possible. I can’t wait for the challenges, learning experiences and friends that I will acquire throughout the program. Thank You!
Why I should win “The Apprentice Challenge @ Metro State”:
I should win "The Apprentice Challenge @ Metro State" because it will help me become a better leader and gain more experience in the business world. Through my senior year, I will begin planning to launch my Christian hip-hop center. I wish we could all be "The Apprentice." I know that everyone will do their best and know this spot will go to the appropriate person. If I don't get to be "The Apprentice,” having the opportunity to be a part of the challenge is a great blessing in and of itself.
